Plaguebinder is one of my OCs for a fan book I've been working on for the past several years (never having gotten past the first few sentences lmao... or indeed writing lore for like... any of them...); but here he is! I added a bunch of backstory to his relations as well

Plaguebinder is a NightWing with scales the color of cinder and cinder. Plaguebinder has underscales that are the color of ebony clay and eyes of jumbo.
His hatching is Plaguebinder's early life.
Plaguebinder's egg was abandoned in the Rainforest Kingdom by a mother who'd never meant to lay him. It was assumed he would be devoured by wild animals or perish in the egg from the cold, and she would think about him no longer.
Dragons are resilient creatures, however, and he managed to hatch. Wet and stumbling and tiny, he managed to break out of the egg; he neither saw nor detected a mother, though the rainforest was vast and full of creatures that would have just loved to eat a newly born dragonet.
While an adult dragon can survive moons without food, a young one cannot - which made it a quite lucky break indeed when a RainWing who'd been wandering the nighttime forest stumbled on a whimpering dragonet, huddled up beneath the leaves of a sheltering fern, tiny even for a dragonet who'd emerged a few hours ago. That RainWing took him back to the village and raised him almost as if he were a RainWing himself; and so he learned how to swing from trees (using talons and claws, rather than tail); which fruits were poisonous, which were medicinal, and which were sticky and would cause your claws to get glued to your palm; and, through brainstorming and several failed ideas, how to keep your mind reading and your occasionally debilitating dreams of the future under control.
His life from a few years ago to now is Plaguebinder's current life.
Being taught about plants and their various medicinal properties sparked a passion in young Plaguebinder. He was named "Dazzling" as a young dragonet, yet the first NightWings who beheld him working busily away at learning to read and write via old scrolls telling of medicine and dashing off to sort herbs and help medics named him "Plaguebinder".
He accepted the name with little fuss; he accepted, and indeed, still does accept, most things with little fuss. He is docile and ridden with anxiety; he feels as if most will scorn him at best, shun him at worst, if he speaks his mind - yet he is a prolific medic, indeed working at the level of some who have been practicing for twenty years or longer.
Currently, while he still lives in the RainWing village, he is dealing with an outbreak of a strange sickness that has befallen the NightWing village.
Plaguebinder hatched and grew up at the Rainforest Kingdom. Plaguebinder lives at the RainWing village, but currently Plaguebinder is at the NightWing village.
